Yard Operative

Working Hours: Monday to Friday plus 1 in 3 weeks on call
Salary – £34,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Operative to join a global engineering company. You’ll be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, moving construction equipment and help keep things running smoothly in the yard and workshop.

Main Duties:

• Remove parts before washing and move items to the workshop.
• Carry out basic repairs and servicing of equipment.
• Keep the yard organised and make sure everything is in the right place.
• Load and unload vehicles and pick items for delivery.
• Use a computer to record tasks and stock information.
• Check and report on equipment coming back from hire.
• Help with stock control and move items between depots.
• Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
• Follow all health and safety rules.
• Be flexible with start times and working hours.
• Work well with the team and complete any required training

Important Requirements:

• You must have a valid driving licence and your own transport.
• You must have experience using a forklift.
