We’re looking for a Trade Counter Assistant to join our busy Builder’s Merchant in New Southgate. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role serving trade customers across plumbing, building materials, and electrical supplies.

What You’ll Do:

• Serve trade customers at the counter in a friendly and professional manner
• Handle phone calls, process sales orders, returns, and special item requests
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organised trade counter
• Carry out stock checks and support promotional displays
• Follow all health & safety procedures
• Work closely with the warehouse and yard team

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a trade counter or builder’s merchant environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good time management and a team-player attitude
• Basic IT skills
• Knowledge of plumbing, building, or electrical products (preferred)

Shifts & Pay:

• Shifts: 6:00am–3:00pm or 8:15am–5:15pm
• Every other Saturday
• Some bank holiday work required
• Double pay on bank holidays
• Monthly bonuses available
• 30 days holiday
