Mobile Plant Fitter / Field Service Engineer
Location: South West / M4 Corridor (Field Based)
Pay Rate: £16.50 – £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday (with overtime opportunities available)

Are you an experienced Plant Fitter or Field Service Engineer with a background in heavy plant machinery?

Our client, a well-established construction equipment business, is looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their engineering team, covering customers across the South West and M4 Corridor.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working independently, visiting customer sites and carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy plant equipment.

The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing a range of construction machinery, including crushing and screening equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Complete breakdown repairs, warranty work and damage repairs.
• Attend customer sites across the South West / M4 Corridor.
• Complete accurate service reports using company systems.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working within the plant, construction or agricultural machinery industry.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on heavy plant equipment.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance (or equivalent) is essential
• CSCS card is advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
