An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Driver to join a professional commercial vehicle operation based in Avonmouth.

This is a nice, straightforward and slower-paced role compared to traditional HGV driving positions, offering a good work-life balance with a Monday to Friday schedule and a varied mix of vehicle movements, collections, deliveries and yard support.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV vehicles, including solo tractor units, to collect and deliver commercial vehicles.
• Transport customer vehicles between locations.
• Present vehicles for MOTs and assist with vehicle movements.
• Carry out pre and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Complete vehicle condition checks and report any issues.
• Carry out road tests following workshop repairs where required.
• Ensure vehicles are parked safely and in designated areas.
• Support workshop and yard operations when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Deliver a professional service when dealing with customers and colleagues.

About You

• Valid HGV licence.
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles.
• Good understanding of vehicle checks and driver responsibilities.
• Safety-focused with a professional approach.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Reliable, organised and able to manage daily tasks effectively.
• Commercial vehicle or workshop experience would be advantageous.
