Our client based in Exeter/Plymouth are currently recruiting for an Electrical Trainer/Assessor to train/lecture and assess for the Electrical brand
Duties and responsibilities:
To communicate effectively and professionally across all brands and centres.
To provide support for all learners/trainees/clients in compliance with The Training Groups policies and procedures.
Responsible to the Curriculum Manager or representatives there of for the lecturing and assessment of all learners/trainees/clients undertaking Electrotechnical programmes.
Ensure that your knowledge is current to meet the technical and assessment requirements of the awarding organisations.
To hold and work towards relevant qualifications as required.
Maintain accurate records of CPD in line with the professional organisations’ requirements and comply with the requirements for Disclosure and Barring.
Ensure knowledge is up to date with current legislation and working practices within the trade.
To assist and promote all brands within The Training Group.
Provide advice and guidance to all potential learners.
Negotiate Individual Learning Plans (ILP’s) with all learners based on individual needs.
To motivate learners to ensure success.
To complete all required administration and maintain own records.
To attend team meetings.
To give verbal and written reports to the employer on learner progress in a timely manner.
To provide professional customer service to both internal and external customers.
An enthusiasm for development and change.
Ability to think on your feet and make decisions.
Good team player.
An eye for detail.
To demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing demands within the Training company.
To undertake any additional training and/or general duties as seen fit by your Line Manager.
Knowledge of Data Protection, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety to ensure compliance with the Training companies policies.
To take every opportunity to develop the job role as an integral part of the company’s administrative system.
Participate in the staff appraisal process.
This role would mainly be based in Exeter with travel to the Plymouth Centre perhaps once a week.
Working Monday - Friday, 08.30am until 16.30pm with a 30 minute lunch.
